JOB SUMMARYThe Sterile Processing Tech Coordinator is accountable for the allocation and completion of assigned functions by staff in the department. This position will serve as a team mentor and ensure adequate staff coverage to complete the decontamination and assembly process to maintain availability of instruments, scopes and equipment to meet department needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLECoordinates sterilization schedules to meet the daily operating room (OR) needs. Coordinates staff workload to ensure the needs of the next business day instrument list are met and instruments are available for all surgical cases.
