Spinal Cord Injury/Disorder MDS/Resident Assessment Coordinator
The MDS/RAC Nurse assigned to the Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders Unit is primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of Veteran patients in both an outpatient and inpatient setting. The Nurse will act as a care coordinator for Resident SCI Veterans in all areas of their medical care, delivering care that meets the needs and preferences of the Veteran with SCI/D. Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
