Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Performs anesthetic management of patients with ASA physical classification 1-5; all phases of general anesthesia, inhalation and intravenous, for both elective and emergency surgery; spinal and other regional anesthesia as assigned and where directly supervised by the anesthesiologist. Performs anesthesia for all adult patients as presented with exceptional care as indicated for patients who are in the elderly age group (usually, though not limited to those 60+ years of age). Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language Proficiency.
