Registered Nurse - Long Term Care, Intermittent
The Long-Term Care Registered Nurse provides direct care to Veterans with a variety of chronic medical conditions. On this 60-bed unit, RNs care for Veterans including short and long stay rehabilitation needs, SCI, dementia care and hospice. This unit provides 24/7 care in a homelike environment. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care of our nation's heroes. This position is located at the main Reno VA campus. Basic Requirements: Citizenship. Non-citizens may only be temporarily appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified candidates in accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7407(a). English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. Education
