Job DescriptionGeneral SummaryThe Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who is for the duration of a shift, with primary responsibility of maintaining standards established at the unit and divisional level by the nurse manager and director of Nursing, and with the authority to modify those standards if in the best interest of the hospital's customers. The supervisor provides nursing administrative coverage in the absence of the directors of Nursing, and hospital administrative coverage in the absence of administration at a higher level.
