JOB SUMMARY The Senior Foundation Officer (Finance) serves to provide information related to Foundation financial and fund reporting and to support the development and financial needs of the Foundation. This key person maintains the fund reporting and is in charge of obtaining authorization for fund use. The Senior Foundation Officer (Finance) also assists in financial reporting. The Senior Foundation Officer (Finance) ensures Foundation information to assist development, administration, and operations are easily and reliably obtained. The position monitors fund use and executes plans to use restricted funds. The position performs fund research and regulates when funds can be used for a requested purpose. The position ensures accurate reporting for fund use and is seen as a professional in fund restrictions and Foundation financial information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Coordinate and monitor fund attribute controls in general ledger, accounts payable and fund reporting.
Manages fund research to support informational needs of Foundation and fund users.
Manage fund use authorization and monitor appropriate fund use for budget and inactive fund tracking.
Maintain and build relationships with administrative liaisons and fund users by tracking, reporting, and facilitating fund use.
Provide reporting and materials needed for fund use by service line and department use. This includes effective participation in service line and department meetings regarding fund use.
Accumulate appropriate support and documentation for fund use during monthly close, planning, and budget process.
Develop and communicate a variety of fund and financial reporting for the Foundation and fund users.
Track and report gift and grant documentation and status of gift and grant use.
Serve as liaison for fund administration regarding fund use and fund reporting for the Foundation and other fund users.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Advanced knowledge and use of Raisers Edge and Financial Edge software.
Minimum of 5 years working experience with Raisers Edge and Financial Edge software.
Knowledge of PaperSave Solutions preferred.
Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Access.
Knowledge of website solutions preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of contribution/pledge recognition process.
