As the Chief of Primary Care, you will be the driving force behind our mission to achieve clinical and academic excellence and deliver superior healthcare to our patients. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer of Central Florida, your responsibilities will encompass:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership: Create the vision to achieve clinical and academic excellence and deliver superior healthcare to patients. Develop and implement strategies in harmony with our executive leadership and consistent with our Mission and Strategic Vision.
Oversight: Oversee the educational, scholarly, clinical and business operations of the group. Foster the professional and academic development of the medical staff.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the AVP of FL Primary Care, the Operations team and other leaders both inside and outside of primary care to ensure efficient and safe clinical operations.
Growth: Execute the organization's growth strategy by expanding primary care's footprint in targeted regions across Central Florida, creating access for populations served.
Culture: Develop the intellectual and social culture of all primary care practices in Central Florida. Model professional, collegial, respectful and accountable behavior and champion diversity, equity and inclusion.
The ideal candidate maintains an active primary care practice and is considered a respected expert in the field.
The Chief works collaboratively with the Associate Chiefs in standardization, Quality & Safety, continuous improvement and clinical aspects of care delivery. The Chief will support everyone involved with HR functions within primary care.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of five years of leadership experience (required).
Formal leadership training and institutional experience are preferred but not required.
MD, DO, MBBS (required)
MBA, MHA, MMM, Certified Physician Executive (CPE), or Other Health Care Administration Certifications (preferred, but not required)
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics
Eligible for licensure as a physician in the state of Florida.
