Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: The Hematopathology Service in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking an outstanding academic hematopathologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Attending Pathologist.
The MSK Hematopathology Service led by Dr. Ahmet Dogan represent one of the largest hematopathology clinical practices in the United States dedicated to the care of cancer patients and diagnosis of hematological malignancies. The service employs 24 faculty comprising hematopathologists and clinical pathologists supported by a dedicated team of allied health staff and state of the art laboratory infrastructure including automated hematology platforms, digital and computational pathology systems, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, coagulation, proteomics, cytogenetics and molecular pathology laboratories. MSK has world class clinical and research programs in lymphoid and myeloid malignancies, and the position offers unprecedented opportunities for collaborative research and research funding. Role Overview:
- Provide hematopathology and molecular diagnostic services for patients with hematological malignancies
- Develop and support translational and clinical research in hematological malignancies
- Support multidisciplinary disease management teams
- Take part in fellow and allied health staff education
Key Qualifications:
- Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology
- Subspecialty training and board certification or eligibility in hematopathology and molecular genetic pathology
- A strong academic track record in the subspecialty
Core Skills:
- Experience and qualifications in flow cytometry and molecular diagnostics is desirable.
Pay Range: $253,290 - $330,061
