Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Faculty Physician, Cardiology Service, Department of Medicine
Available start date: Immediate
As a board-certified academic cardiologist, you will join a team of 13 cardiologists, 11 advanced practice providers and a cadre of nurses and technologists all dedicated to the cardiac care of patients with cancer. The Cardiology Service at MSK provides consultations for a 500-bed hospital, outpatient clinics, and support for a growing regional network of MSK oncology and affiliated cardiology practices. Cardiology is supported by multiple state of the art echocardiography, EKG, stress testing and rhythm monitoring labs at the MSK main campus, other Manhattan sites and at MSK regional locations. Cardiology manages implantable cardiac devises (ICD) for MSK patients. Our service has as well-established relationships with the country's leading cardiovascular institutions that are in NYC and surrounding areas.

Core Skills and Abilities:
- Direct inpatient and outpatient cardiac care
- Echocardiographic and ECG interpretation
- Contribute to the teaching and research missions including supervising cardiology fellows, medical residents, medical students, and APPs.
- Participate in education and quality assurance activities.
- Receive protected time for clinical research, teaching and other academic activities.
Key qualifications:
- An M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent with excellent clinical, communication and team skills.
- Board certification or board-eligible in cardiovascular diseases
- Level II competency in Echocardiography (TTE, TEE, stress echo)
- Licensure in the state of New York, or eligibility for a medical license in New York is required.
- A strong interest in pursuing academic excellence with a track record of scholarly achievements.
Pay range: $150,000 - $590,000
Physician compensation is based on multiple variables. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.
