The role you’ll contribute:
A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with an appropriate graduate degree who by position, responsibility, and authority actively assists the program director in the organization and administration of the entire program of nurse anesthesia.The assistant program director must be qualified to assume the responsibilities of program director if required.
Participates in administration of the Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Program and development, implementation, and evaluation of the Nurse Anesthesia didactic and clinical curriculum. Responsible for teaching theory and clinical aspects within the Nurse Anesthesia program. Responsible for supervision and evaluation of student progress in the classroom, clinical, and laboratory settings. Responsible for maintaining relationships with clinical sites and partnerships both within and outside the AdventHealth organization. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in cognate, core, and nurse anesthesia specialty courses, as assigned by the Program Director
Identifies and recommends appropriate nurse anesthesia faculty, adjunct faculty and guest lecturers to the Program Director, as indicated
Participates in nurse anesthesia student advising and mentorship
Participates in Doctoral Project (Evidence Based Project) design, implementation, and evaluation as Project Chair and as Project Participant
Assists the Program Director with designing, planning, reviewing and coordinating the nurse anesthesia clinical practicums
Oversees and coordinates the supervision of nurse anesthesia students in the clinical area
Oversees clinical nurse anesthesia faculty and preceptors in their roles as clinical educators for nurse anesthesia students
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Required:
Relevant Doctoral degree
Master’s degree in the Nurse Anesthesia specialty
(3)Three-years current experience in clinical practice as a CRNA
Current, valid State of Florida licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
May supervise AHU Faculty, Adjuncts and Staff
