Job Description
General Summary
Under limited supervision, provides leadership, expertise and services in the area of workplace violence to include education program management and data management. Develops and manages educational programs for team members which meet the educational needs and the regulatory requirements for the organization.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.
1. Develops and manages required education programs related to workplace violence for the team members of the organization.
A. Assesses educational requirements for team members based on scope of practice
B. In collaboration with clinical and non-clinical team members and management team members, designs, implements and evaluates programs to meet identified requirements, team members, team members. Serves as counselor and resource to the organization for the design, development and implementation of applicable required educational programs.
C. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and select volunteer instructors, defines and clarifies roles and responsibilities of instructors, assists with content, training and AV materials development, and evaluates course effectiveness and instructor performance.
D. Identifies unique and creative ways to assure accessibility and availability of educational programs to team members. Designs and maintains evaluation strategies to monitor program effectiveness, assess customer needs and perceptions, and determine long term impact of educational interventions.
2. Designs programs and systems which make effective and efficient use of resources. Manages and monitors the education budget in accordance with established parameters.
3. Develops and implements marketing strategies for educational programs.
4. Supervises training of volunteer instructors.
5. Monitors program participation both for instructors and team members. Reports participation as necessary.
6 Identifies appropriate indicators to monitor the effectiveness of education activities. Develops and manages data collection to monitor progress and provide management reports. Designs and maintains evaluation and survey procedures to monitor effectiveness of educational activities and recommends or initiates changes as appropriate.
7 Attends seminars and workshops to keep abreast of program changes; update training as appropriate.
8. Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, health administration or related field or equivalent is required. Course work in education is preferred.
- Three years of administrative/program coordination and training experience is required.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is preferred. CPI certification within 30 days of hire is required
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage programs, and large-scale projects. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and follow through on assignments and/or projects. Ability to analyze and conceptually develop ideas, proposals and programs.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including collaborative, consultative and coaching skills are required.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop professional working relationships with clinical and non-clinical team members to meet overall program goals.
