Study Technician Post Life Greenfield Indiana Location.
Starting pay rate $22.00 per hour
Daytime hours, requires working some weekends

In this role you?ll be performing a variety of duties including necropsy and histology work related to preclinical (animal research) studies. You will also document and record key information related to studies. in this role you'll be performing a variety of duties not limited to;
Performing and reporting on external fetal examinations on small and large animals
Prepares tissues/fetuses for inventory and archiving
Performing multiple tissue freezing techniques and measuring of tissues
Performing histological trimming, bagging of tissues, and embedding
Perform basic necropsy or histology tasks on a variety of laboratory animals in compliance with the appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines
Monitor animal health and welfare in compliance with the Animal Health and Welfare Act and help maintain facilities for AAALAC compliance.
Daytime hours! Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed along with overtime
Qualifications/Education/Skills
AS Veterinary Technology or related field OR BS/BA in Animal Science, Animal Behavior, Biology, Wildlife Studies, Zoology or Related Life Sciences OR 2 years of college courses in Life Sciences field with 2 years of laboratory experience or 2 years of animal handling experience.
AALAS certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician level is preferred, but not required.
Preferred but not required prior large and small animal dissection experience
