The Department of Family Medicine at the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) seeks an outstanding family medicine physician to serve as fellowship director for their newly approved Addiction Medicine Fellowship. This role will be responsible for the continued development and oversight of the addiction medicine fellowship within a community-based academic setting. The individual will work closely with the program faculty and staff to ensure the program delivers high-quality training and education in addiction medicine.
The LVHN Addiction Medicine Fellowship seeks to recruit of a diverse group of fellows committed to training in an innovative training program with an interconnected learning environment. Situated within LVHN, the fellowship provides training that bridges both academia as well as community. Community partnerships and programming enhances the broad training of fellows to create the future leaders in community health.
Our fellowship offers strong experiences across inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings, preparing graduates to manage advanced disease with confidence. Through partnerships with LVHN’s strong specialty departments, fellows will gain the experience to manage substance use disorders and its comorbidities across the lifespan.
The fellowship director will collaborate with leaders within, and external to, the Department of Family Medicine to advance the education of fellows in the field of addiction medicine.
The fellowship director will work clinically in a family medicine practice.
The fellowship director will provide clinical care to family medicine patients and patients with substance abuse disorders within their own patient panel.
Substance abuse disorder patients may also be referred internally from other family medicine physicians.
There is an opportunity to partner with the Opioid Use Disorder Center of Excellence for virtual consults and patient care.
