Our Ambulatory Surgery and Procedure Center has 10 operating rooms and 6 procedure rooms and last year we cared for almost 13,000 patients.
The Procedure Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability through the nursing process, for the pre-operative and post operative care of some procedure center patients in collaboration with other health care providers. The procedure center RN is also a key member of the intra-procedure team. Nurses with experience in Pre/Post and Procedure are encouraged to apply
What you will do as a Peri-Anesthesia RN (Procedure Center):
Develop and initiate plan of patient care using an outcome based approach ensuring application of age related growth
Coordinate, lead all aspects of, deliver, and delegate nursing care based on patient assessment/standards of care
Direct, evaluate, and supervise the work of assistive personnel in providing delegated nursing services and development principles
Document, reassess and alter plan of care based on patient's response to nursing interventions on an ongoing basis, to ensure continuity of care
Administer moderate sedation agents as per physician orders and sedation protocols
Responsible for circulating cases to patients undergoing procedures in Gastroenterology (GI), Interventional Radiology, and Pain Management.
What you will need:
Current Minnesota RN Licensure, ACLS, and BLS certification
Minimum of three years of Procedural Endoscopy, Outpatient Surgery, or PACU, ICU, ER experience required
IV Conscious Sedation Proficiency
Preferred qualifications:
- BSN, ASPAN, or CNOR certification
- EPIC Super User

Hours: 1.0 FTE. 40 hours per week
