Summary:
Manages region-wide risk management activities. Administers the risk management program to reduce the frequency and severity of events. Manages and analyzes risk management data and conducts educational programs. Gathers data for insurance renewal, assists with investigation and resolution of claims, and complies with risk management-related standards. Promotes patient safety and quality care, minimizing the loss to protect the assets of the organization.
Education:
Essential:
* Bachelor's degree obtained through a formal 4-year program.
* Graduate of an accredited nursing school (AD in Nursing, RN Diploma, BSN or MSN).
Experience:
Essential:
* Five years of related acute hospital experience required.
Credentials:
* Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or holds a multi-state nursing license; or able to obtain license prior to start is required
* Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) certification required.
