Location: 480 W CENTRAL PKWY, Altamonte Springs, 32714 office location and supports our teams in Seminole, Orange, Osceola, Volusia and Flagler Counties.
The role you’ll contribute:
The Education Manager - Hospice manages the day-to-day operations and team that develops and executes training and education programs, communications, content, development, materials, delivery, and compliance. Develops, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates procedures and processes for the system, offers continuing education, process improvement, and change management. Manages the Hospice education, staff, including HR Related activities. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Researches, develops, and implements educational materials and training for Hospice staff, ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance, documentation standards, strategic and operational initiatives, as well as recognition and resolution of care gaps related to the continuum of care.
Develops and coordinates the new hire training for Hospice team members.
Tracks and maintains accurate records of the education/courses taken by individual staff members and report compliance to licensing authorities as required.
Assists with nursing skills’ competency assessments. Communicates with department heads to identify learning needs and develop education programs to teach specific competencies.
Meets deadlines for established goals in an accurate and efficient manner in aspects of projects.
Exercises independent decision-making processes to identify, plan, and execute goals. Willing to seek extra work, accepts new responsibilities, and adapts to potential departmental change.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
Four (4) years of clinical experience and/or training and development, including (2) years of hospice care experience.
One (1) year Leadership Experience.
A clear/active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or Nursing Education or related field.
Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing Certification
