The role you’ll contribute:
Assumes responsibility for developing, implementing & evaluation a program of education for department and/or unit specific clinical population(s) specific to the CVICU. Programming includes initial and ongoing staff competency, standardized department-based orientation for all applicable roles, and continued education as identified by needs assessments and regulatory requirement initiatives. Applies evidence-based practice, policies, procedures, standards, and regulations as appropriate. The education will be designed to positively influence the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care and team member professional development.

Acts as a member of the education support team for management of quality and regulatory initiatives and projects.
Advances healthcare practice by developing and integrating policies, procedures, and standards.
Is knowledgeable in current healthcare trends and related legislative issues.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
3 nursing experience relevant to population served.
3 nursing experience
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
BCLS - Basic Life Support
Preferred qualifications:
Staff development, academic teaching and/or project development experience.
Additional life certifications may be required per specialty or practice area
Professional nursing specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development or relevant to population served (obtains within one year of meeting eligibility requirements)
Clinical experience in the CVICU
