Health Department Head and Middle School Health Teacher Full-Time Position

Overview
Spence seeks a dedicated educator to lead our Health Education Department. The Health Department Head guides the development and implementation of the K-12 Health curriculum, manages the health education team, and helps foster a school culture focused on student well-being so as to ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to live healthy, balanced lives.
Responsibilities
Oversee the design, implementation, and review of the K-12 Health curriculum
Supervise and support the delivery of K-12 Health instruction across all grade levels
Coordinate alignment of Health and Advisory programming
Support professional growth of all health teachers.
Oversee course sectioning, staffing, and scheduling for the department
Plan and lead department meetings to encourage collaboration and continuous improvement
Collaborate with the administrative team to hire faculty for the department
Represent the department to faculty, staff, students, and parents
Serve on school-wide committees
Manage the department’s budget and allocate resources effectively
Teach Middle School Health Grades 5-7
Serve as a Middle School Advisor
