Position Highlights:
Join the Division of Geriatric Medicine which consists of 3 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners at the first age-friendly health system in the U.S., as recognized by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
As the Medical Director of Inpatient Geriatrics, you will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to grow and develop the inpatient geriatric program at Baystate Medical Center, a 700+ bed academic medical center in Springfield, MA.
See a wide variety of cases and patient types on our consults-only inpatient service; the ideal candidate also has an interest in geriatric trauma surgery consults. Leadership is committed to your professional satisfaction and work/life balance – no call, nights, or weekends.
Enjoy a combination of clinical care & teaching with a faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate. Clinical research and QI/safety projects are available and encouraged. In addition to geriatric fellows, you will have the opportunity to teach residents, medical students, and other learners.
