IU Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our collegial and supportive Family Medicine team in Mooresville!
Position Details:
Full-time
Monday-Friday
2 hours outside of 8am-5pm required
36 patient facing hours/week, 10% of that is flex time
No weekends, holidays, or call
Expected patient volume is ~60-70/week
Both established and new patients
Includes same-day visits
Adults and Children
Team includes 8 physicians and 2 APPs
Procedures include IUD insertion/removal and dermatological procedures
Key Responsibilities:
Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
Develops treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
Orders and adjusts medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards for nursing practice.
Serves as a clinical resource for the nursing staff, physicians, hospital, and other healthcare providers.
Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.
Qualifications:
FNP certification required
If new graduate, ICU or Emergency Medicine RN experience preferred
