Reporting to the EVP for Health Affairs/CEO of UConn Health, the VP of Business Development will be a key member of the CEO’s senior executive leadership team, combining strategic leadership, data-driven decision-making, and an understanding of the healthcare industry to drive growth and enhance operational efficiency. In this newly created role, this person will be the primary subject matter expert and advisor to the CEO and other members of the ELT on the identification, development and implementation of business growth initiatives that will achieve UConn Health’s short-and long-term strategic goals.
Key Selection Criteria for this position includes the following:
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in similar healthcare business development leadership roles.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or a related field is required; Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
Track record in corporate and partnership development including health systems, physicians, and other diversified businesses.
Success in managing complex M&A transactions within healthcare delivery.
Demonstrated success in developing a broad range of state and national relationships.
Proven financial management and budgeting skills as well as the ability to build and develop high performing teams.
