Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residency Program Director
Geisinger Lewistown
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic direction of the Public Health and General Preventive Medicine Residency Program.
Maintain program accreditation in accordance with ACGME RRC and relevant boards.
Recruit, interview, and select residents and faculty.
Develop and implement resident performance evaluations based on ACGME Milestones.
Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum.
Ensure faculty development and participation in scholarly activities.
Oversee didactic education and ensure compliance with institutional requirements.
Participate in research, scholarly activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Specialty expertise and documented educational and administrative experience.
Current certification from the American Board of Preventive Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Preventive Medicine.
Current medical licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment.
Minimum of three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience.
Accountability/FTE Allocation:
The Program Director will report to the Chief Education Officer and Vice Dean GME of Geisinger Health System.
The position is allocated at 0.5 FTE. The Program Director may practice in their specialty for additional FTE.
