Our practice provides complete care, beginning with diagnosis all the way to treatment and follow up, with highly sophisticated continuity of care. Our team approach fosterscollaborative research between scientists and clinicians with the goal of making innovative discoveries available to all patients with complicated urological disorders. As a Clinical Nurse III in our outpatient clinic, you can look forward to using the full range of your professional nursing skills to implement the following duties.
Provide and document direct and indirect patient care services that ensures the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.
Educate patients on disease prevention and restorative measures
Administration of medications and therapeutic agents vital to the implementation of the treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care
Observes signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, general behavior, and/or general physical condition
Assess the signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, or general appearance to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics
Plan and implement care based on your observations
Implements appropriate reporting, referrals and care, following standardized procedures
Initiate emergency procedures when indicated
Identify patients' readiness for learning and ability to give instructions and give consent
Provide a safe environment and evaluate efficiency of intervention for patients
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
BSN degree preferred
License/Certifications:
Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of California required
ACLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association required
Specialty certification required (or willing to obtain within one year of start date - for external hires) - preferably in Med-Surg or Ambulatory nursing
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
At least 1 year of ambulatory care experience required
