The Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a full-time anesthesiologist. Ideal candidates will be BC/BE in Anesthesiology, have a commitment to teaching, quality improvement and/or research, and be fellowship trained.
Responsibilities include providing clinical care to patients in both the operating rooms and out-of-OR locations
Participation in resident and fellow education, including simulation and advanced airway management.
Faculty will have opportunity to participate in and/or develop research and quality improvement projects.
Leadership opportunities may be available for the interested and qualified applicant.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with training and experience. The Department of Anesthesiology offers a robust compensation plan that rewards clinical productivity and academic excellence.

The Division of Neuroanesthesiology, Head and Neck Anesthesia, and Offsite Anesthesia is nationally recognized for excellence in basic neuroscience research, clinical research, and neuroanesthesia education, including the neurosurgical anesthesiology fellowship, accredited by the ICPNT.
The Division covers a large and rapidly growing neurosurgical (all subspecialties) and interventional neuroradiology practice. Intraoperative MRI & CT imaging and endovascular neuroradiology suites increase the range of surgical capabilities and are integral to the neuroanesthesia practice. The Division is also known for management of complex airways and oversees both the airway simulation laboratory as well as the annual Advanced Airway Workshop for trainees. Duke University Hospital is a Level I trauma center, a JCAHO Certified Stroke Center, and home of the world-renowned Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center.
