The School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications and nominations for a full- time faculty position as Director of Compliance. This role serves as the chief compliance officer, leading a school-wide compliance program and advising senior leadership on strategy, investigations, and ethical accountability.
Candidates must hold a master’s degree in business administration or related field, with at least ten years of progressive experience in compliance or human resources—including employee relations and investigations—and a minimum of five years supervising personnel. Professional certification in one compliance area (e.g., CCEP, CPCO, CHC, CHRC) and one HR area (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is expected; candidates may obtain these certifications within 12–24 months of hire. Rank, tenure, and salary are commensurate with experience. This is not a remote position.

The School also is home to state-of-the-art nursing simulation and skills laboratories with some of the most current technology in health care, providing interdisciplinary students, and faculty, hands-on clinical learning experiences to enhance skills development, teamwork, communication, critical thinking and clinical judgement.
