California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Transplant Program is seeking a full-time, BC/BE Transplant Hepatologist physician. Our Division of Hepatology has 9 transplant hepatologists involved in clinical care, research, education, and advocacy work.
California Pacific Medical Center is a state-of-the-art hospital in the heart of San Francisco that serves as the tertiary/quaternary hospital for the Sutter Health 20+ hospital network. With 581 beds across three campuses - CPMC 274, Davies 209, Mission Bernal 98 - the program serves as a referral destination for multiple other hospitals in Northern California and Nevada. In addition, the program provides care at 10 regional liver clinics in Northern California.
The Division of Hepatology serves a diverse patient population with general hepatology and transplant hepatology needs. California Pacific Medical Center?s Transplant Program has been performing solid organ transplantation for over 50 years. In 2024 CPMC performed 89 cadaveric donor liver transplants. CPMC is presently developing a Living Donor Liver Transplant Program.
The Division of Hepatology has active clinical programs with specialty areas including Alcohol associated Liver Disease including a limited sobriety pathway, Portal Hypertension, Autoimmune Liver Disease, Viral Hepatitis, Metabolic dysfunction Associated Steatotic Liver Disease, Liver Cancer, and Transplant Oncology. Members are actively engaged in clinical trials, clinical research, and NIH-funded studies.
Hepatologists are core faculty for the ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology fellowships at California Pacific Medical Center. Potential recruits or strongly encouraged to enhance the Division with new skills and perspective.
