Indiana University Health Medical Group has an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to join their Wound Care team at Methodist Hospital-Comprehensive Wound Center in Indianapolis, IN.
Position Details
- Full-time
- Day shift- 7a-5:30p
- 4 days/week- Mon, Tues, Wed and Fri
- No nights, weekends, holidays or call
- 5% Inpatient
- 95% Outpatient
- Team includes 1 physician and 3 APP's
Patient Population:
- Patients with complex wounds including pressure injuries, traumas, diabetic foot ulcers, cellulitis, oncology related wounds and HBO patients
Procedures:
- Wound debridement, Incision & Drainage, Cultures, Wound Closure, Skin biopsies, Excisional debridement, local anesthesia, Hyperbaric chamber operation.
Key responsibilities
- Ongoing wound care
- HBO
- Inpatient consults
Qualifications
- Master's Degree Required
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
- New Grads may be considered
- Must have Surgery rotation with wound care experience completed in training, or current experience in the ER, Surgical Service or Urgent Care
- Ideal candidate will have 1-year previous wound care experience
