The Intake Specialist receives all referrals coming into agency.
Responsibilities:
1. Receives all referrals coming into agency.
2. Researches all information needed to admit and verify payment coverage.
3. Manages activities that contribute to a comprehensive program of quality assessment and improvement for clinical services.
4. Develops programs to enhance organizational visibility and acts as a resource person for staff.
5. Other duties as required.
Other information: Technical Expertise 1. Experience in home care management is required. 2. Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred. 3. Experience in healthcare is preferred. 4. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience 1. Education: Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing [BSN] is required; Master's degree [MSN] is preferred. 2. Certification: Registered Nurse licensure is required. BLS required. 3. Years of experience: 3-5 years preferred. 4. Years of experience supervising: None
