Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist (Dosimetrist)
The position is located in the Radiology Oncology Service, which is a division of Surgery/Specialty service line at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. The service is responsible for the delivery of radiation treatments to patients with a wide variety of malignant diagnoses. Radiation Therapy refers to the use of ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancer. Radiation treatment kills the cells mainly by damage to the DNA, but is not specific for malignant cells Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
