The role you’ll contribute:
The pharmacy practice resident’s primary role is to accelerate their growth beyond entry-level professional competence in patient-centered care and in pharmacy operational services, and to further the development of leadership skills that can be applied in any position and in any practice setting.The resident will be held responsible and accountable for acquiring these outcome competencies: managing and improving the medication-use process; providing evidence-based, patient-centered medication therapy management with interdisciplinary teams; exercising leadership and practice management; demonstrating project management skills; providing medication and practice-related education/training; and utilizing medical informatics, conduct pharmacy practice research, exercise added leadership and practice management skills, demonstrate knowledge and skills particular to generalist practice in the home care practice environment, demonstrate knowledge and skills particular to generalist practice in the managed care practice environment, participate in the management of medical emergencies, contribute to formulary decisions, provide drug information to health care professionals and/or the public, demonstrate additional competencies that contribute to working successfully in the health care environment.

Participate in meetings and presentations involving pharmacy students and other staff members
Provide patient education commiserate with patients’ learning assessment level

Conducts self in a manner that consistently displays politeness, attentiveness and professionalism
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
PharmD
Kansas Pharmacy License within 60 days of employment
Preferred qualifications:
1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience
