The role you’ll contribute:
Under the direction of the COO, provides direction, support and guidance to the Plant / Facilities Engineering / Clinical Engineering / Environmental Services / Safety / Security / Property Management. This position requires demonstrated experience in leadership, budgeting, fiscal management, planning and successful accomplishment of strategic initiatives. Position is responsible for supervising multiple departments and/or services.The Director oversees all functions pertaining to the operation of the department including but not limited to human resources issues, financial management, performance improvement and compliance issues. The Director is responsible for creating and maintaining all policies and procedures.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Reviews the Gallup satisfaction results with staff at monthly staff meetings.
·Discusses ways in which the employees can contribute to patient satisfaction. Departmental minutes reflect documentation not less than quarterly.
·Provides specific feedback on the annual evaluation to each employee as to his or her contribution to patient satisfaction. Sets specific goals for employees scoring satisfactory or lower.
·Reviews monthly departmental financial statements and research material variances to budget and prior period.
·Reviews productivity reports as often as are merited (daily for clinical departments). Changes staffing levels to reflect appropriate productive hours per unit of service.
·Strategic planning for business development/ retention by research and submitting capital requests
·Conducts monthly departmental meetings documenting names of persons in attendance and minutes of discussion. Appoints a departmental representative to serve as Secretary for minutes. Secretary and Department Director sign a copy of the minutes for internal record.
·Assures persons not in attendance have access to review meeting minutes.
·Emails minutes to Administrative representative on a monthly basis.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Professional Engineer License or one of the industry-recognized healthcare facility management designations preferred
·Previous Facilities experience, preferable in a healthcare organization
·Previous management experience
·10 years of experience in Health Care Facilities, including at least five years of experience in management preferred
·10 years of experience as business leader in various service industries with the ability to demonstrate strong project management skills, team building and excellent customer service preferred
