The University of Connecticut, School of Nursing is seeking applications to fill a full-time, 11-month, Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor, Graduate Track Director - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) position.
Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, the faculty member will serve as the Graduate Track Director (GTD) of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) track. In this role, the Director will fulfill the mission of the University of Connecticut School of Nursing (UConn SON) by supervising instruction and course development of the PMHNP track and work with other GTDs in the MS Program’s graduate tracks, and instructional designers, to construct dynamic online courses and nationally focused clinical precepted experiences that align with professional nursing accreditation standards, guidelines, practices, competencies, and the UConn SON mission and values.
The PMHNP Graduate Track Director will: (1) Provide graduate track-level leadership for curriculum planning; (2) Identify course outcomes and evaluation metrics for assessments; (3) Participate in the development and ongoing monitoring of faculty and student processes within the PMHNP track, and (4) Assist with clinical placement process and clinical practice experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS –Assistant/Associate
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.
Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (and eligible for these in the state of CT by date of hire).
Active, national board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in higher education.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a nationally certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards.
Understanding of test blueprint knowledge for Board certification exams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in APRN program development, curriculum development, and program track management.
Experience with online teaching and instructional technology.
Experience teaching at an institution of higher education, with documented positive student evaluations.
Demonstrated teaching excellence in relevant areas of expertise.
Experience in leadership positions in higher education.
Demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and interact productively with faculty, staff, and students.
Ability to work and contribute virtually to a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to contribute through teaching, scholarship, and service.
